HFO Chess Club
Date: Third Friday of each month from Sept. 2008 through May 2009. Location: The Library Center, 4653 S. Campbell, Springfield Time: 6:30-8:30 PM
Come join fellow Home Schoolers in an evening of fellowship and glorious battle. See old friends, meet new ones, and then conquer them all on the chessboard.
The HFO Chess club is open to grades 1st through 12th. We welcome players of all experience and ability. If you want to come but don't know how to play (or haven't played in a while and want a reminder) we'll show you how. If you have any questions, please call Joshua Harrel at (417) 227-9203.

College Workshop for Homeschoolers

Location: The Library Center Auditorium, 4653 S. Campbell, Springfield
Many homeschooling parents are worried about the challenges of getting their children ready for college. This workshop will guide you through the process by discussing a college-bound course of study in high school, testing (SAT I, II, ACT, CLEP, AP), the application process, transcripts, choosing a college, and scholarships and financial aid.
